Cafes in Kyoto
I've been in Kyoto (and Himeji) for about four weeks and the cafes, and local roasters, have really improved. There are so many of them. So, in no particular order, here are the ones I recommend:
- Goodman Roaster, nice place, first time with rain outside, just like a lofi cafe, but real
- About us, very nice design in old house, amazing top floor
- Nijō-koya, impossible to find without Google Maps, great ambiance, good coffee
- Coyote Cafe, very good price for cold brew (several choices)
- Weekenders of course, the original, they changed spot, still very good, nice, zen place (though more difficult to enjoy with the people it attracts)
- Kobako Shoten Coffee Stand, nice stand (it was a respite from the rain)
- Kurasu Kyoto Stand, very good as well, some space inside standing
- Iolite coffee roasters, very nice tasting
- Nakazaki Coffee Roasters in Himeji, great coffee as well And so many more still to try...
