The (commercial) Internet is brain dead
I recently found a mention of the Dead Internet theory, which is "a conspiracy theory that asserts, due to a coordinated and intentional effort, the Internet now consists mainly of bot activity and automatically generated content manipulated by algorithmic curation to control the population and minimize organic human activity". The thing is that it feels more and more real with more and more AI-generated content and scraping activity to feed these generative models. Scraping is causing significant costs by scraping over and over the contents of many websites.
In this context, as many websites are completely unreadable (have you tried reading an "article" on msn.com?), we should emphasize the human made small web and contribute to this effort to return to the root of the Internet.
